GENERAL INFORMATION
The PCA Fellowship Program provides recent law graduates and young legal professionals with the opportunity to work at an international arbitration institution for one full year. Fellows receive the title of Assistant Legal Counsel and over the course of the year gain experience in the operations of the PCA’s International Bureau, with an emphasis on both the practical and legal aspects of international arbitration.
Fellows work at the PCA’s headquarters at the Peace Palace in The Hague and benefit from the PCA’s proximity to several international tribunals and other intergovernmental organizations. Fellows are also provided access to the renowned international law collection at the Peace Palace Library.
Fellowship positions will be awarded to individuals with outstanding academic records who meet the qualifications outlined in the following section, and who seek work experience in the field of international arbitration. Fellowship positions are unpaid and applicants must have adequate financial resources for the year and health insurance to be eligible.
Educational Assistance Fund
A grant from the PCA Educational Assistance Fund may be awarded by the PCA Secretary-General to one qualifying applicant for a one year term. Qualifying applicants eligible to receive this grant must be nationals of a PCA Member State that is listed on the "DAC list of aid recipients" prepared by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
