Registry Cases and Appointing Authority Services

During the first quarter of 2009, the PCA’s registry caseload totaled thirty-three pending cases, including twenty-one investor-state arbitrations under bilateral or multilateral investment treaties.

Separate from its registry services, during the first three months of 2009 the PCA has also received sixteen requests that the Secretary-General designate an appointing authority or act as appointing authority under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules.
