The Secretary-General, Mr. Tjaco T. van den Hout, visited the Republic of Turkey on June 16, 2008 at the invitation of the Government.

Mr. Van den Hout was the guest of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), H.E. Ambassador Ertugrul Apakan. The Secretary-General also met with other senior officials of the MFA, Turkish Members of the Court of the PCA and academics at the Avrasya Strategic Research Center in Ankara.
