On September 13, 2010, PCA Secretary-General Christiaan M.J. Kröner visited the City University of Hong Kong, where he spoke to faculty and students about the future of arbitration in a globalizing world. In his speech, he observed that the flexibility of arbitration makes it one of the most adaptable forms of dispute resolution and thus well suited to meeting the complex challenges of globalization. He also noted the PCA’s growing role in state-to-state arbitration and investor-state disputes, as well as the increasing number of cases in which the PCA acts as appointing authority. |
