During the third quarter of 2008, the PCA’s registry caseload totaled thirty pending cases, including nineteen investor-state arbitrations under bilateral or multilateral investment treaties. Separate from its registry services, during the first nine months of 2008 the PCA has also received twenty-five requests that the Secretary-General designate an appointing authority or act as appointing authority under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules.
