During the second quarter of 2008, the PCA’s registry caseload reached a new record of thirty pending cases, including nineteen investor-state arbitrations under bilateral or multilateral investment treaties. The PCA has also received eighteen requests that the Secretary-General designate an appointing authority or act as appointing authority under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules during the first six months of 2008.
