Registry and Appointing Authority Cases - September 2007

During the third quarter of 2007, the PCA’s registry caseload again reached the record levels of nineteen pending cases that were attained in 2005 and 2006.

Since July 2007, the PCA has received sixteen new requests under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules or other ad hoc arbitration provisions that the Secretary-General designate an appointing authority or that the Secretary-General act as appointing authority for the appointment of arbitrators, taking the total number of requests for the year to date to twenty.
